Inspired by the countless bespoke target rings Bear has designed and fallen in love with over the years, the engagement ring series wouldn’t be complete without one. Bear has chosen sapphires for a row of colour as this is a gemstone known to represent wisdom, but also believed to bring protection and good fortune to the wearer.

  • Can be made in 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold or platinum and with different coloured stones in the surround or all diamond.

  • The ring illustrated has a diamond centre weighing 1.86cts, the surrounding sapphires weighing a total of approx 0.25ct and the surrounding brilliant-cut diamonds weighing a total of approx 0.28ct.

Target Engagement Rings

Their distinctive circular appearance with radiating concentric halos beautifully combines the framework of a cluster ring and the elegance of a solitaire. Historically target rings were presented as love tokens, with each gemstone concealing a particular meaning. The first target rings, developed in the Edwardian era, illustrate the popular romantic sentiments of the time-the symbolic heart or bull’s eye shot by Cupid’s arrow.
